Product Review: Mia2 Skin Cleansing System

I know I just did a product review last week but I had to share my thoughts on the Mia2 Skin Cleaning System by Clarisonic because it might one of the best things to have happened to my skin in a very long time.

For a few years now I have been in search for a new facial cleansing system, and every winter I pray for a solution for my incredibly dry skin. And, although I’ve been blessed with relatively good skin (acne-wise), I am prone to a giant blemish every once in a while that takes forever to go away and sticks out like a sore thumb.

I received this as a gift from my parents over the holidays, so technically I didn’t purchase it myself. But instead of taking the money and spending it on whatever, I had a feeling that this product would be worth the somewhat hefty price ($149). And it is!

I have been using the Mia2 about 3 times a week for a month now and the results are amazing. I will warn you – there is a slight “purging” stage, where bacteria comes to the surface and a lot of blemishes will develop. This happened to me on my chin for about 2 weeks and it was frustrating and a bit horrifying, but that troublesome area is finally clearing up.

Meanwhile the rest of my face cleared up immediately and my face has never felt softer. I’m not sure if it’s the cleanser that I use with the Mia2 (I use this Origin’s face wash which I am obsessed with), but I am thoroughly impressed with the difference. It definitely helps that the movement of the brush helps to cleanse and exfoliate the skin simultaneously. On top of that, it has made my dry skin very manageable. I didn’t expect it to make my troubles disappear completely, but it has significantly improved it and all I have to do is put a thin layer of moisturizer (I use this Liz Earle moisturizer).

I could go on and on about how great this product is, but I don’t want to bore you. If you’re looking for a new routine for your skincare routine, I highly suggest you look at the Clarisonic products because they really do work and are worth the price. Sephora has a variety of sets and Clarisonic has quite a few products. I didn’t get the newest version of their Mia products but I am so happy with my purchase.
