My Monthly Must-Haves: May

Hello, hello, I’m back! I hope you all had an amazing week and Memorial Day Weekend. I’m so sorry for not posting anything this past week. As much as I wanted to, the wifi in Costa Rica was super spotty and I didn’t want to stress out too much about it when I was supposed to be relaxing.

This month has been a bit all over the place and I’m kind of glad it’s over. I’m so excited for summer to begin and to finally try and get on a schedule (and stick to it, for that matter). Here are some of the things I couldn’t have lived without this month.

Makeup Product of the Month: Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

I mentioned in my review of Makeup Revolution’s Blush Palette that I was intrigued by these highlighters and was going to go back and get one. Well I did! And I love it. I bought the golden lights shade and it’s a beautiful golden (obviously) highlight. They are so pigmented and are an amazing price ($6).  I love this shade but I think I will also end up purchasing the radiant lights shade which is the more popular one.

Skincare Product of the Month: Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

Now that the weather is nicer and the sun is out more often, my skin is a bit more prone to sunburns, and in turn, peeling (ew). To try and combat this, I’ve been using this cleanser/exfoliator like crazy. It is super exfoliating but gentle at the same time thanks to ingredients like aloe and coconut. This isn’t the cheapest option out there, but it is a huge amount and lasts for so long. I’ve had it for a while now and only use it when I need some serious exfoliating.

Fashion Piece of the Month: Express V-Neck Skimming Tees

I have a love-hate relationship with Express. They have some of my favorite clothes, but they’re never the most affordable. I went to Express a month ago and bought this tee in black because it was so incredibly soft and flattering, and only $16.90! I loved it so much and wanted to wear it everyday that I went back and bought it in white and olive green (I might go back and get it in grey too).

Home Decor of the Month: Pretty Tealight Candles

I love candles so much (as we all know), but usually I focus on the scent, and then how they look. However, these mini “tealight” candles are absolutely adorable and I love how they look lined up on my windowsill. I think they are perfect for small places like this that could use some decoration that isn’t too overbearing. These ones are from Bath & Body Works.

TV Show of the Month: Game of Thrones

Love, love, love this show. I won’t go into details because I don’t want to give away any spoilers if you’re someone who hasn’t seen it but is planning to. This is one of my absolute  favorite shows and it’s always so exciting when it comes back in the late spring. So far this season has not been disappointing whatsoever.
