My Monthly Must-Haves: March

Am I the only one that doesn’t really love March? Everything has been so hectic at work and the weather is so up and down in New England that one day I’ll find myself wearing a dress and then two days later I’m wearing a scarf and gloves. I’ve still slacked off a bit on getting 3 posts a week out but I think I have finally gotten into more of a schedule with work, fitness, and the blog.

As much as I hate March, I can definitely say this month has flown by (I feel like I say that about every month). I have been dabbling in new products that many people have been raving about for months so I’m really excited to share some of those with you along with my other favorites of this month.

Beauty Product of the Month: Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer

I know that this isn’t a new product, and I don’t know why I waited so long to try it out after everyone has talked about how great it is (especially since I have horrible dark under-eye circles). Regardless, it is amazing and I am in love. I put it on everyday, regardless of what else I’m wearing on my face. It is by far one of my favorite under-eye concealers. My one critique is that it only comes in 4 shades, and since I’m olive skin-toned, I have to mix a bit of the neutral-medium shade with the tan shade. However, once it gets warm and I have a bit of a tan, I should be able to just stick with just the darker shade. PS: look out for a more in-depth review of this product and a couple other IT cosmetics products later on.

Perfume of the Month: Pistachio Brûlée

So here we are again, with another product that isn’t new and everyone has already mentioned how much they love it. Well, I’m hopping on the bandwagon. I love this fragrance. It’s very sweet and flirty and I think it’s perfect for this time of year. Unfortunately, Urban Outfitters is sold out of this one online, but you can definitely find it in store. They were in stock at the store closest to me and there are actually a few other scents by the same brand that I really liked and will probably go back and buy (so you should check those out too!).

Home Decor of the Month: Pretty Mugs

Lately I’ve been really into drinking tea and coffee in the morning, and using a pretty mug always makes me feel like I’m starting my day off right. They make a nice conversation piece in any situation and they are also a great way to decorate your home! I’ve been trying to collect ones from every major city I visit, but I also like mugs with clever sayings or pretty designs. These are just some of my favorites.

Podcast of the Month: Serial

See I told you- there are a lot of things I’ve been obsessing over this month that aren’t new. I finally started listening to Serial (the first season) and I am so mad at myself for not doing so sooner. It’s been an absolute staple for my morning commute and at the gym. I listened to all of season 1 within probably 2 weeks. It’s about a teen who was arrested for murdering his ex-girlfriend and sentenced to life in prison. The season dives into the case and Sarah, the narrator, tries to figure out whether or not he actually did it. If you love crime shows and if you’ve seen Making a Murderer (on Netflix), go listen to this now!

TV Show of the Month: The Catch

So, technically, there have only been two episodes of this show this month (including tonight’s episode). Regardless, I am 100% sure I am going to love this show (and you will too). It’s replacing HTGAWM on ABC, those are some big shoes to fill, but I think it does an incredible job of doing so. The show centers around a woman who was conned by her fiance, and the “catch” (no pun intended) is that she is a PI. There’s drama, romance, and comedy. I highly recommend you watch the first episode and catch up.
