Hello hello! I’m sorry for the bit of hiatus this past week (not including yesterday‘s post). As much as I wanted to prepare some posts to put up while I was in Ireland, I just never got around to it. And while I was there I had absolutely zero downtime (pictures will be up soon!). But I’m back now and I have a bunch of fun post ideas for the next month, so I’m very excited for August to start.
July was a pretty successful month for me! My review at work went well, and I finally managed to post on a scheduled basis (except for last week, ugh). I also did a lot of shopping…. so I have quite a few new products that I looooved using this month.
Essie’s Gel Couture Nail Polishes (Top Coat + the shade Touch Up)
These are a more recent purchase – but I could not be more obsessed with them. Unfortunately, I am someone that somehow chips their freshly painted nails the same day, or a day later (if I’m lucky, it’ll take 2 days). I am also one of those people that if one nail chips, the rest have to come off. So I had to try these out when I saw them at Target. They are supposed to last chip free, for up to 14 days. It didn’t last 14 days for me, but they did survive a full week with ZERO chips (just some light fading at the tips). Naturally I’ll be going out to by some more shades soon (you can buy them at Target, Ulta, and Essie).
First Aid Beauty Banish Oily Skin Trio
By now I’ve probably mentioned a million times that my skin has decided to be very oily this summer (I’ve always had dry, sometimes combination, skin). I have no idea how to manage oily skin, since I’ve never had to, so when I found this set on Sephora I was super excited. It was also my first time trying out First Aid Beauty products. Guys – this set is SO GOOD. I love every product and can actually feel a difference in my skin. They are all super gentle and refreshing and every time I use the mask, I instantly feel a difference. If you’re battling with oily skin I highly recommend trying out this set!
Kelly & Katie Trista Flat Sandals
Summer obviously calls for new sandals, and these are my most recent purchase. I love them and try to wear them everywhere. They are so comfortable and have a little bit of cushion in the heel to help with longer amounts of walking. I also love how there are two buckles that you can adjust to truly fit your feet. They have some other adorable sandals at DSW too!
The Estée Edit Flash Illuminator (in the shade Day Light)
I just talked about this product more in depth here and here, and it has been a staple ever since I received it from Influenster. I love it for the summer because it gives such a pretty, natural glow. It basically triples as a bronzer, blush, and highlight in one, which is great, because I am sooo lazy in the morning when it comes to doing my makeup for work. I just dab a bit on my cheeks and blend it upwards and I’m good to go!
Target Signature Soy Jar Candle (in the scent Sea Blossom)
Guys, this candle smells sooooo good (get it if you can at your local Target). It’s fruity and sweet, with a hint of floral. It pretty much screams summer and I love these candles from Target. They last FOREVER and the scent is never too overpowering. The fact that the color of the candle is a gorgeous coral is just an added bonus.
